Ebay item 9/16/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Jaguar-XK-/172867130530
Current bid US $20,000 reserve not met 1 bid 6 days left in auction, seller denverclassicparts, 35k miles.

Sellers description:
This beautiful S-II car is just emerging from a long-time ownership by a Colorado collector. Purchased from a Pennsylvanian in the early '90's, the local owner enjoyed this car for around 10 years before commissioning a comprehensive restoration, accomplished by a local specialist shop, between 2003-2005. A full file of invoices (over $60k documented in parts and labor) and notes details the mechanical, interior and metal-paint work done. Interior trimming was accomplished by another (award winning) local outfit, and Classic Investments has provided recent service and detailing.

The quality of the restoration is evident in photos, as well as in person. 12 years on now, the paint still shows straight and clean. This is an excellent running and driving classic and the 2+2 is truly an underappreciated variant of the iconic "E-type" Jag. With prices continuing to rise on other models, watch for this up-and-comer which represents true value in today's market.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
