Description
1970 Jaguar XKE E-Type Series II
This Jaguar has been graced with a beautiful new coat of Emerald Green Metallic paint, a factory Jaguar color, as well as a new interior and mechanical upgrades. Other upgrades include the tri-carb conversion from the Series I E-type, a Mota Lita steering wheel, and Spax shocks.
The Series II had a number of design advantages to the ever popular Series I, and is considered to be the most user friendly of the E-types. The improvements to the Series II include a new cross-flow radiator with twin electric fans for better engine cooling, bigger Girling-made brakes, collapsible steering column, stronger chrome-plated wire wheels, better clutch with higher-rated diaphragm spring and new camshafts with redesigned profiles to give quieter operation. The powerful straight-six twin-overhead-cam engine in the 1970 Series II, will even make your pocketbook feel better compared to the Series III twelve-cylinder which arrived in 1971.
