Ebay item 5/19/06

Opening bid, $10,000 reserve not met, no bids yet, 9 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This car is beautiful, my father is the second owner and has never taken it for a ride, he let it sit in his garage for 18 years and started it up once or twice a month to just keep it running, he has taken it in for service periodically through out the years and has spent a small fortune on repairs and up keep.He just spent four thousand dollars in having a series of parts and repairs work done to just get it in proper running order again, it runs better than it did when he first purchased it. I have receipts for all the work that's been done since he's had it. The car is not perfect it has 3 small scratches less then 1 inch. The AC does not work but can be repaired. It's in great shape and looks great.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
