Ebay item 5/2/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-1970-Primrose-Yellow-XKE-Roadster-/190673536252
Current bid $3,383 reserve not met, 8 bids 9 days left in auction. Buy it now price $14,500.

Sellers description:
This 1970 E-type roadster is a fully matching number car. The original color is the Primrose Yellow. Someone had started the project of restoring the car after it had been in an accident. Unfortunately they never completed the restoration. I can see that the floors and sills were replaced. I have checked the other areas that usually rust such as the lower trailing arms, the boot area, and underneath. All of these areas are nice and dry and solid. The fellow who worked on the car used lead, which is professional way of filling any dings, etc., This means there is no bondo in the car that I can tell. Some of the original pieces that are with the car are the hood frame, seats, windshield and everything you see in the pictures. What you see is what you get. The car obviously is being sold for restoration. It does not run and drive, due to sitting for a long period of time. I have verified that all numbers on the commission plate match the various components. The car rolls and steers, so it can be trasported easily. I have a clear Connecticut title in hand.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
