Ebay item 7/22/06
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-Roadster-II-1970-Jaguar-XKE-Roadster-Serie ...
Current bid $10k reserve not met, 1 bid, 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
A Very Well Maintained 1970 Jaguar XKE Roadster II with ONLY 61k Original miles. This car is in Great condition.
Current owner has had the car since 1986 and there seems to be 1 or 2 owners prior.
It has ALWAYS been kept in the garage, and it shows.
No rust on the entire car and underbody
The Chrome is all good, just a slight fade in the front bumper
The interior is in Great condition with the exception of a quarter size patch on the passenger side seat.
The car never leaked or burned any oil.
The engine is very strong and the transmission shifts well with great acceleration.
4 brand new tires
All original with the exception of a working AM/FM Cassette player.
In 1992 the car was totally re-painted. All bare metal was Zinc Phosphate coated prior to painting. An epoxy primer was applied for adhesion and then a 2 part polyester primer was applied. After priming was complete, 3 coats of PPG DBU base coat was applied and finally 3 coats of PPG 2020 Ultra High Gloss clear for final application. After all of the layers it should be bullet proof. All of the hard work really paid off though, the paint is still excellent and it has a very deep reflection in the shine.
There is also an auxillary electric cooling fan for city driving.
All in all this is a Great car that you will thoroughly enjoy as well as a great investment.

I was the second owner of this vehicle from 1978 to 1981 in Toronto Canada. The original owner was a Berkley student that returned to Canada from California and sold the car to me. It was originally BRG with a suede green interior. The third owner was also a Canadian living in Toronto, after which I lost track of the vehicle until seeing it here.
