Sellers description:
1968 Jaguar XKE 2+2 Coupe
Series 1.5
Air Conditioning
Automatic Transmission
Serial Number 1E7918 BW
Actual Mileage: 23,060

This is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a 1968 XKE with a well-documented history.

Please note: We are representing the family of the gentleman who purchased the car in October of 1998. His purchase was from the second owner in February 1969. The car has been stored and not driven for approximately eight years. The fuel tank was drained and fresh fuel was run through the system (not through the tank) to allow the engine to start and run. When the car was parked, it was in excellent running and driving condition with no known defects. Please keep in mind that because the gas tank will require flushing and cleaning, this work will need to be done before it is driven. Additionally, the car should be given a thorough inspection by a mechanic to ensure road safety and worthiness because of time in storage. The interior rearview mirror glass is cracked and will require replacement. The family has decided to sell the Jaguar "as is".

First Place Winner - Extremely Competitive "Preservation Class" (C-19) - 9/10/2005
Champion Division Jaguar Club of North America Concours d'Elegance

Included with the sale are numerous receipts for maintenance and repair work over the years in a binder, as well as the informative and coveted log book with thirteen pages of hand-written details of comments regarding his ownership care. The original "Operating, Maintenance and Service Handbook" in its original protective vinyl pouch is also included.

This XKE has been well loved and cared for since it was purchased new. A great deal of attention was given to keeping originality in tact. The owner was a member of the Jaguar Club of North America and the car took numerous prestigious awards during his stewardship.
