As advertised on eBay UK in November 2012
Series 1 Coupe, 2 seater, 1965 'E' Type Jaguar 4.2cc. Original UK RHD car. Lovely personalised registration number.
Bodywork
The car drives lovely, fires up instantly and is very strong with lots of power. There are no overheating problems (extra fan fitted). This car is original spec except for Series 11 front calipers and electric fan. It has been fitted with new tyres. Mechanically the car is very strong and drives superbly, everything works except for the clock. Bodywork is very solid. Also the underside of the car is lovely as can be seen in the photos.
Paperwork
There is lots of old history and bills with18 previous MOTs.
Interior
Black leather interior. Interior is very good with no rips or tears. Carpets are in excellent condition with no leaks or damp. Dash and instruments is in exceptional condition. Windowscreen is lightly misted in bottom right corner.
Exterior
Silver exterior. Heritage certificate states the car started life as carmen red with beige interior. The car was painted about 15 years ago and I would judge it as 7/10 in my standards. There is some slight bubbling in the middle of the bonnet by the air intake and other slight imperfections as the last time it was painted was a long time ago. From a meter away it looks stunning. Chrome work is excellent apart from strip from scuttle to roof (tarnished). Chrome wire wheels are slightly tarnished.
Engine and vin no"s.Engine.no.7E6628-9. vin no"s.1E20880. They match data plate and v5.

Sold by Mather Collectable Motor Cars of Blockley in April 2023. Abbreviated seller's description below.
www.mathercollectables.com/sold-recently/
What can one expect from an example such as MVG590C? It begins with a well documented history file, always a good sign of careful ownership. Fifty eight invoices from Jaguar specialists such as SNG Barrett and David Manners provide confidence that the car has been well cared for, as do the past MoT certificates, with the current one issued without advisories and expiring in 2024. If you don't wish to read through the invoices there are a handwritten set of notes by an enthusiastic owner detailing the servicing and maintenance history.
Driving has changed much in the 58 years since MVG590C was built, so enthusiastic owners improved the car with a stainless steel exhaust, an electric fan, and larger brake callipers from the Series 2 car. In this particular case, the owner indulged the car with chrome wire wheels and an additional set of competition wheels fitted with Blockley radial tyres.
