Ebay item 3/29/18
www.ebay.com/itm/1968-Jaguar-E-Type-Series-1-5-Roadster-XKE/123047300158
Car has a buy it now price of $59,000 for 20 days, car now said to be in Princeton, Texas, 100k miles.

Sellers description:
1968 Jaguar XKE Series 1.5 Roadster
Offered for the first time in over 20 years
Just out of long term ownership from a Jaguar club member and enthusiast
Sadly he passed away and this is when we acquired it
It is presented in stunning opalescent blue, which is one of the most desired colors on an E type.
The car has had a series 2 bonnet installed, likely after a minor accident the bonnet fit could use some adjusting..
The car runs and rives well. it is equipped with Tri-carbs which is a great add on
It is also equipped with a series 2 XKE 4.2 liter non matching engine with a 7R prefix
The 4.2 engine was completely overhauled at a cost of over $9,000.00 in 2005
I believe the transmission is original.
The car breaks, and shifts well, and starts right up with no smoke from the tailpipes
The redline tires have good tread remaining
This car has some flaws in the paint up close and would be best describes as a nice driver!

Overall an excellent driver to enjoy!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
