Vehicle description according to the provider

E type OTS 4.2 ltr. with matching numbers

For the 60th anniversary of the E Type we offer you a fantastic series OTS (Open Two Seater) with 4.2 ltr. Engine in concours condition.

Restored to the highest standard with matching numbers. The color combination opalescent dark green with interior in tan fits perfectly and looks stunning.

This E Type was born on June 21st, 1966 and was shipped to the USA, New York. America loved the E Type and had the money. Almost 70% of the vehicles were sold in the USA.

In 2017 this E Type was found with powering numbers, acquired and shipped back to Europe.

The condition and the body substance were so good that a Nut and Bolt restoration made sense. Every single screw was picked up, only non-repairable body panels professionally removed and replaced with new ones. Great importance was attached to working exactly like the Jaguar plant in 1966. All welding points are correct, every detail is in its right place and only tin was used instead of body filler for the surfaces. A technique that only highly qualified specialists can master and use today. The gap dimensions and the surfaces speak for themselves. Two layers of clear lacquer are applied and additionally ceramic-sealed.

The 6-cylinder engine of the E Type is a long-stroke engine with a lot of torque from the basement. It doesn't like very high continuous speeds so much. In order to prevent this and also to gain a bit of liveliness, the proven and crisp 5-speed Getrag transmission has been installed here. The original 4-speed is of course available and can be retrofitted back to the vehicle on request without any changes.

The E Type was Primrose Yellow with black in the interior when it was delivered. Because of its popularity and attractiveness, it was decided to use Opalescent Dark Green with Tan. Authentic and correct for the E Type in 1966.

After its complete restoration, which was finished at the end of 2018, the E Type has only been driven 750 mls. An approval in Germany with an H mark has already taken place. If desired, the original miles speedometer can of course be exchanged for a KM speedometer. The illustrated 2-piece suitcase set has been made to fit the E-Type OTS and can be purchased with it.

A dream car in the 1960s just like today.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
