1966 Jaguar E-Type Open Two Seater - The best car in the best colors.

This car was meticulously restored to concours standards with great attention to detail and originality. The drive train and interior were removed from the tub, which underwent a comprehensive restoration to original specifications. The original drive train was rebuilt as was the suspension and braking system. Top, interior, windshield and door glass were all replaced with new old stock or authentic reproductions. Instruments were rebuilt by Nisongers, White Plains, New York. Every chromed trim piece, from nuts and bolts to bumpers, has been rechromed to show standards. The stunning result, shown here, is a multiple first place show winner and a frequent proud participant in the Greenwich Concours D'Elegance and the Fairfield County Concour's D'Elegance. The car most recently won best in class at the Zooland Regional AACA show in August 2014 and of all the cars shown was the one picked to appear in the Courier Tribune which covered the show.(Sunday, August 17, 2014 edition).

This example, which has been in the collection of its current owner for 23 years, will be sold with all books, restoration documentation with photographic history, tool kit, original owners manual and an extremely rare original factory hardtop for $175,000 or best offer.

The complete restoration is documented with a book of pictures. The car originally was primrose yellow from the factory and changed to red during the restoration. Recently the car was gone through by a jaguar mechanic who only works on jaguar .He went through the entire car and found it needed the exhaust and intake valves replaced. After going through the car from front to back the car is now ready for its next owner.
