This car is ready for the pure Jaguar collector demanding the very best. The Roadster has undergone a comprehensive rotisserie restoration, received a new finish of Black, with a perfectly fit and handsomely matched Black interior and convertible top done in the proper and correct materials. The E-Type was dissembled, and all parts were fully documented and inspected during the restoration process. The vehicle body was worked, the metal finished, fit, and leaded as needed, and all body parts and chrome were perfectly fit to the car. All parts were individually painted off the car in the booth, then primed and sealed with base coat applied, clear coated, and finally color sanded and buffed to a beautiful finish. All mechanical systems were gone through and restored, or replaced as necessary. The XKE is accompanied by its original 1965 registration, warranty booklet, dealer list packet, and a file of various receipts and records. In addition, an MP4 video documenting the Roadster's restoration process accompany the car. With such coveted features such as covered headlights, triple SU carbs, toggle switches, and comfortable seats, this 1965 E-Type is full of the style and class that classic Series 1 E-Types are known for. This triple-black E-Type is a sleek cat that is not only ready for your favorite driving route, but stands as an excellent choice to campaign at local and regional Concours events

This 1965 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that was refurbished by Classic Showcase of Oceanside, California, prior to being acquired by the current owner in August 2017. Work involved refinishing the body in black, re-trimming the interior in black upholstery, and overhauling the 4.2-liter inline-six, suspension, and brake system. The car is equipped with a four-speed manual gearbox, a black soft top, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a stainless steel exhaust system, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM push-button radio. Service performed in preparation for the sale included fluid changes. This XKE is offered on dealer consignment with an owner’s manual, tools, refurbishment photos, a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, and a clean Illinois title.
Finished from the factory in dark blue, the car was stripped and repainted black during the aforementioned refurbishment. Exterior details include a black soft top with a matching boot, recessed headlights with clear covers, split chrome-finished bumpers, a louvered hood, and taillights mounted above the rear bumpers.
Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels feature two-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with 185-width Universal Sport tires, while a matching spare is mounted under the trunk floor. The fully independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes were overhauled during the refurbishment, and the brake fluid was flushed in preparation for the sale.
Originally trimmed in dark blue upholstery, the interior was reupholstered in black during the refurbishment. Appointments include low-back bucket seats, a sliding rearview mirror, lap belts, Jaguar-branded floor mats, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM push-button radio linked to speakers mounted on each side of the center stack.
The wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset clock. Auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 38k miles, approximately 300 of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was reportedly overhauled during the refurbishment and is equipped with triple SU side-draft carburetors as well as polished valve covers. An oil change and a coolant flush were carried out in preparation for the sale.
The cylinder head stamping 7E2934-9 matches the engine number shown on the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. A stainless steel exhaust system has been installed, and the transmission and differential fluid were flushed in preparation for the sale.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace certificate lists factory colors and drivetrain numbers as well as the build and dispatch dates.
