Sorry, I had the transmission and body numbers reversed when I entered them after seeing the car at the previous concours sighting. I corrected them from currently verified data.

BTW, the data plate on this car has VERY large block stlye numbers stamped on the data plate. Also the car number on the data plate does NOT have the 1E prefix present. I am told that this is correct for the first few 4.2L E-Types.

Car was present at the 2005 JCNA Challenge Championship. national event at Chateau Elan in Braselton Georgia.

I OWN 1E10010 AND MY DATA PLATE ALSO IS MISSING THE "1E" PREFIX. THE PLATE IS ALSO A DOUBLE PLATE IN THAT THERE IS ONE OVER THE OTHER WITH A CUT-OUT OVER THE TRANS FLUID INFO. BELIEVED TO BE THAT WAY BECAUSE PLATES WITH THE CORRECT INFO FOR THE ALL SYNCHO BOX WERE NOT READY, SO PLATES FROM ANOTHER MODEL ALREADY USING THE UPGRADED TRANS. DOES YOUR CAR HAVE SOMETHING SIMILAR?

I own 10108. It does not have the 1E prefix on the original plate.

I own XKE SeriesI 4.2L LHD OTS 10272 for the CAR # on the Factory Build Plate without a 1E prefix.

This car 10045 is missing the 1E from the data plate also, .which is correct. The 1E10045 is stamped on the subframe.

Ebay item 5/4/16
Motorcartrader.com is proud to offer this spectacular 1965 Jaguar E-type Roadster. This great Jaguar E-type was built on September 4th of 1964 and dispatched on October 7th of 1964. This matching number car was originally sold to Dr. Althouse on December 12th of 1964 of Omaha, NE from Kumpf Motor Imports in Denver CO. As we understand, the first owner had this car for about a year or 500 miles and then sold it to the second owner Dr. Parish. The second owner had this car from 1965 to October of 2014. He had the car commissioned for a full ground up and meticulous restoration at around 53,000 miles by a Pebble Beach award winning restoration shop. The goal was to make one of the best E-type Roadster possible to show and win the JCNA Concour class. It was finished in the classic Color combination of British Racing Green with biscuit Connolly leather interior. The initial restoration cost $217,994.10 and we do have the invoices of all the work completed. In addition, photo documentation of this restoration where everything on this car was restored or rebuilt to JCNA concours specifications. The car was shown after it was completed in 2003 and shown from 2003 to 2007. It was barely driven at all during this time by the second owner who was also a president of the Carolina Jaguar Club. It earned very impressive accolades, scores, awards and 100 point judging. Below is the list of JCNA (Jaguar Club of North America) C5/E1 (Champion Division is the most demanding JCNA Concours Division) scores this car achieved:

Challenge Championship 2003. Score: 99.760 points (The 1000-point score sheet permits points to be deducted for areas not up to standard. The total is to be divided by 10 for the competing score; 100 points would be a "Perfect" Champion Division Entry).
AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) Senior First Prize 2003
AACA Grand National Winner Senior First Prize 2004
British Car Day South. Score: 100.000
Virginia Jaguar Club Concours 2006: 99.980
SMJC Concours d'Elegance. Score 99.960
Southeast Regional Concours. Score 99.900
The Gathering. Score: 99.900
Autumn in the Mountains. Score: 99.940
Lowcountry Classic Jaguar Concours. Score 99.990
JCNA Challenge Championship 2005. Score 98.600
Capital Classic. Score 99.770
North Georgia Jaguar Concours D'Elegance. Score: 99.940
North Georgia Jaguar Club Concours. Score: 99.920
Legends on the Green. Score: 99.980

As we understand, the owner decided after he had achieved his goal with the showing this exceptional car, he decided to make the car a reliable driver to show in the Driven Class, but also to enjoy. He invested another $22,892.52 on 8/2007 for refreshening of the restoration and to make the car a reliable driver. Some of the scores this car achieved from the JCNA D2/E1 (E-Types (1961 to 1967) Driven Division (Driven Division challenges its Entrants to research prepare, and present their Entries in their original, authentic, factory-delivered configuration and condition). :

Head to the mountains. Score: 9.977 (The 1000-point score sheet permits points to be deducted for areas not up to standard. The total is to be divided by 100 for the competing score; 10 points would be a "Perfect" Driven Division Entry)
Virginia Jaguar Club Concours d' Elegance. Score 9.999
2013 JCNA Challenge Championship. Score: 9.999
2011 Head to the Mountains. Score: 9.996. 2011 Norman Dewis Trophy awarded at National Jaguar Event after Sir Norman Dewis drove and signed the car (pictured on air cleaner). Sir Norman Dewis is the famed head test driver and engineer who helped develop the XK120, 140, 150, C and D type as well as the E-type. Mr. Dewis drove the first new 1961 Jaguar E-type to the Paris auto show.
Smoky Mountain Jaguar Club Concours. Score: 9.983
NGJC Concours d'Elegance. Score: 9.984
Capital City Classic. Score: 9.997
Head for the Mountains. Score: 9.995
2015 Head for the Mountains. Score 9.995

Included with this car are the $266,648.44 of invoices invested into this car since 2003 to make it one of the finest Jaguar E-type Roadsters and a great driving car as well. A matching color British Racing Green, newly restored Hardtop with interior matching wool headliner is included as well. Also, we do have the original books, jaguar pouch, original jack, and original tool kit. In addition, the air cleaner is signed by Sir Norman Dewis when he selected this car for the "Norman Dewis Award" in 2011. Sir Norman Dewis is the famed head test driver and engineer who helped develop the XK120, 140, 150, C and D type as well as the E-type. Mr. Dewis drove the first new 1961 Jaguar E-type to the Paris auto show. In addition to being an exceptional show car, this E-type runs and drives perfect. It has great oil pressure and compression. The car shifts great and is very tight to drive. An upgraded aluminum radiator and electric cooling fan were installed as well during the "driving" portion of the restoration as this car was in the warm NC climate when it was driven. The car stays very cool and comfortable. There is absolutely no rust on this car and the underside is painted the same dark British Racing Green as the exterior of the car. There is no undercoating on this car. The paint, chrome, seals, underside, exhaust, porcelain manifolds, top, engine compartment, the frame rails, underside, chrome wire wheels, interior etc. are all in stunning condition. This is certainly one of the finest Jaguar E-types available on the market today. It has great ownership history, along with a comprehensive and documented restoration. Furthermore, has been Concours judged and continually achieved at or close to 100 point scores. These Jaguar E-types are very hard to find with this type of provenance. This is a true investment grade vehicle which will be an excellent centerpiece or start to any collection.
